Mark busted out the deep philosophical mojo as he is wont to do sometimes at the end of this ebook.

The thought of how integration marketing can eliminate war and increase the quality of life for everyone got me excited and concerned all at the same time.

The more our businesses integrate...the more money we make and the less desire to go to war with our business partners...this all works well when business is good.

But what about when the economy is hurting? That interdependence then becomes scary because when one country (or business) goes down everyone else goes down with it.

Anybody have some thoughts on this, and how to possibly get the benefits of integration without the drawback? Is that even possible?

Hi Mike,

I personally think it's not an issue ...

If the economy is down the last thing we'll do is blame our Integration Marketing Partners. Think about it ... Business is down and here's a guy over here who used to be sending you 100 sales a week and is now sending you 50.

Are you angry that the sales he's sending are down?

Nope, you're grateful for the 50 ...

Another thought on this ...

Our interdependence is already here whether we like it or not. As it stands the economy of one country already affects the economy of another.

So this perceived "problem" is already here.

Making more connections only boosts economies that are already there. The only time this is a problem is if you put all your eggs in one basket ...

If, say, you partner with only one company and the chips are down for them - so goes it for you.

But doing that is really counter to the spirit of Integration Marketing itself.

The idea is *many* connections and making many connections pointing back to your business in itself can never be a "bad thing."

Compared to the extreme alternative ("no connections pointing back to you") it is always a "good thing."

All this means is that during times of a slow or downwards economy we will need to create more Integration Marketing deals to compensate for the fact that each single one might give us less of a benefit.

It will never pull us down... it will only decrease during such times in the amount it will push us up. Worst case scenario is that some of our Integration Marketing partners will stop pushing us up during those times... and then as leadership changes and the economy goes up again, those will again start to push us up as well.

yes, the end was great because it articulated every great thing about
Capitalism that I could think of.

I also had questions - and I wondered for myself how integration works in terms of branding perceptions -, are you kept separate, or can we get sullied
by some other entities dirt.

"The thought of how integration marketing can eliminate war and increase the quality of life for everyone got me excited and concerned all at the same time."

There is fear in so many around the notion of "no war". It's wierd, I've
observed it for years and felt it in myself. My theory is that when humans stop war they will
have to face up to their divine responsibility, 'mandate' for you BIble believers, to be stewards of this mysterious and miraculous Garden and support the possibilities of harmony and exploration.
